Unit 1 & 2 Alarm Response Graphic Procedure Project Foxboro I/A DCS Specialist
Developed and integrated over 1,000 alarm response graphic procedures within the Digital Control System to provide state of the art operator response capability to abnormal events for a dual unit 500 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant with Foxboro I/A DCS and Mark VI Turbine Controls. Each combined cycle unit consists of two GE Combustion Turbines (Frame 7) and two Heat Recovery Steam Generators supplying a GE Reheat Combined Cycle Steam Turbine with Cascade Bypass. Procedures were developed using Foxboro.s Fox Draw Software with all of them totally integrated inside the DCS Software for instantaneous access upon receipt of the alarm or as desired by the operator. Procedures only existed electronically but also included capabilities to be printed through the DCS by the operator for maintenance or training reasons. Project included initial adjustment of over 500 alarm set points inside the DCS based on final tuning parameters.
